The Cessna / Raytheon Missile Systems Student Design Build Fly competition is hosted annually, and provides us the opportunity to compare our skills with prestigious teams from all around the world.
For this years’ competition, which is hosted in Tucson, AZ, we will design, manufacture, and finally fly an unmanned, electric powered, radio controlled aircraft, which has to meet a specific set of requirements.
Due to comprehensive requirements (design work, fabrication, electrical subsystems, report and proposal requirements), we welcome everybody, independent from your major.
For a detailed description of the requirements and rules, please visit the official AIAA DBF website: http://www.aiaadbf.org/
Our test flights are conducted at the Mesilla Valley Model Airplane Club (http://www.mvmac.org/en/flying-fields/gmaps-mvmac-las-cruces-rc-flying-field).
